When it is time to say goodbye to your old cell phone and trade it in for cash there are a few steps you should take. To get your phone ready to sell and to make sure you are not leaving any personal information behind, you should remove any accounts and wipe the device.
1. To start, take a look at all of the accounts that are linked to your phone. This includes social media, email, banking, and any other accounts that may contain sensitive information. If you have any accounts that are no longer in use, be sure to delete them as well.
2. Next, it is time to wipe your device. This will erase all of the data on your phone, including pictures, videos, apps, and anything else that is stored on the device. You can do this by going into the settings menu and selecting the “factory reset” option.
3. Once your phone is wiped, it is now ready to be sold! Be sure to tell the buyer that all of the data has been erased and that they will need to set up their own accounts.
